Visiting the Property Before the Next Storm

Beagles Gone Wild!

The day was bright and the skies were clear - the temperature was 6° on Wilkerson Pass and 5° at the barn. The beagles didn't notice and promptly took off on their normal exploratory circumnavigation of the property in an ever-widening spiral.

This picture scrolls left and right! We've got snow on 90% of the property, and just over a foot in the deepest parts of the drifts and swales. The tractor made short work of clearing the driveway - OK, the path where the driveway will be. I had to use four-wheel-drive and shuffle the snow to the side of the drive every 15 feet or so at the deepest parts. But after two passes, I was done!

There is a big pile of snow just behind the vantage point from which this photo was taken.

We even had a visitor during the past few days (tire tracks in the snow) - there was a Census Package on the trailer door. Gues I gotta' fill that out.

Every now and then I check on Sabre & CC - In these photos they were on the south end of the property and came running when I whistled.

Head for the building... he's always near the building.

Nope, he's over by the tractor.

Run, run, run.

Run, run, run.

Oof! Deep snow with a thin icey crust.

Crunch, crunch, trudge, trudge.

C'mon Sabre!

Run, run, run.

Watch out for the... crunch!

Hey! You made it!

Wazzup?
