Kristy Arrives at College

Kristy arrived a few days early to attend one of the University's outdoor adventure programs. The fly fishing trip was a lot of fun and a good chance to meet people and relax before classes begin.
We all went to Laramie with her and got her moved in and organized.

Doug came down from Boulder to help move Kristy to Laramie.
He's in his scrubs - he works at a clinic for the experience [and the money :o)]

Relaxing with CC before the move.

After moving everything from the trucks into Kristy's room, we headed to Cheyenne for some shopping and to have a late lunch at The Pie Lady restaurant. The smiles were present when the sandwiches, chilli, and pie were there. At this point, we're all ready for a nap. ;o)

Once back in Laramie, we got Kristy settled into her room, made a few last minute adjustment to the electronic setup, and she headed off to the Outdoor Adventure program.

Stand still long enough and Dad will take another picture.

...and another.

Dad is planning on building a self unit to make use of the available vertical space above the built-in desk.

Once back from Fly Fishing, Kristy was able to get her bed "lofted" - see the picture below. Lots more room if you don't mind sleeping at altitude.

The outdoor adventure program rally point. This is the point that Terri and Bob became "empty nesters".

This is an "after" picture - Kristy's side of the room all set up and organized. The "lofted" bed provides a bit more useable floor space.
