The chicken coop is done! The chickens seem to like it, and it provides shade during the warmer parts of the day. It is fully insulated and will even have a heater when it gets really cold.
They all have big feet. And toenails!
The nesting boxes just need a little board in front to keep the nesting materials from falling out. The roof above the boxes hinges up to allow the easy collection of eggs.
And they get looking more like chickens every day! The black cross sex links will have some very interesting black, brown, and gold plumage. The white Delaware chickens will have a little bit of black, but will be mostly bright white.
They all run up to the fence when somebody comes by... hoping for a handfull of treats: grass or scratch grains.
How they manage to balance on the 2x4 is pretty funny to watch. They used to be able to turn around - now they have to hop down to turn around.
