Camping with the Kateins & Schubins
|
Before Terri headed out to California, Kristy to Wyoming, and Doug to Boulder, we went camping at Eleven Mile State Park with the Kateins and Schubins. We celebrated George & Marge's wedding anniversary, Terri's new assignment, the success of the kids in school, and looked forward to the arrival of warmer weather. Our original plans were to camp at State Forest State Park where we have camped several times before, but the Colorado Parks Department sent us a note cancelling our reservations because a late-spring storm buried the campsites under three feet of snow. We camped, hiked, and fished. We even caught enough trout to allow us to enjoy a nice meal. We also fished below the Eleven Mile Reservoir dam, a catch-and-release area. While we weren't terribly successful there, is is a beautiful area and fun for fishing. All of these pictures were taken by Kristy using her Sony® Cyber-Shot camera.
