Tin Roof Sunday
Three hard days work... nearly done.
18-21 September 2009
Having the right equipment makes all the difference. 26,000 pound 60-foot boom lift is just the thing.
First, we trimmed the end wall panels with a circular saw outfitted with an abrasive blade.
Then the first roof panel is placed on the leeward end of the building.
Big Boom.
Three panels done.
Time out to get Doug started painting the completed portion of the fence.
Again, the right equipment helps!
Fun with good-natured beagles.
"I thought you said she was incompetent!
What a happy, if easily excitable, beagle.
A tired Doug
When the wind picked up, we installed one of the 10-foot overhead doors. The right equipment in this case was our tractor, bucket forks, and some sturdy ladders.
Mounting the door axle to the bracket saddle clamps.
Protecting the door finish with heavy cardboard and bubble wrap.
