Blonde Brownies (pan cookies) (From the Nestlé Company)

• 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 cup (2 sticks) margarine or butter, softened
• ¾ cup granulated sugar
• ¾ cup packed brown sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 eggs
• 2 cups NESTLE TOLL HOUSE semi-sweet chocolate morsels (r)
• 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt, set aside. Beat margarine, sugars, and vanilla in a large bowl. Add eggs, mixing well. Add flour gradually, mixing well until the dough is smooth and evenly colored. Stir in morsels and, if desired, nuts.

Spread dough in a large (15x10-inch) greased baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes (until golden brown).

Options: Substitute 2 cups of mini-M&M morsels for toll house morsels.
