Skiing!

Our favorite skiing place is Monarch Mountain in the Rockies.

We'll be adding pictures as the 2006-2007 ski season advances.

Monarch is really a ski-oriented place - no shopping, no poo-poo eateries, no distractions. You ski. Green circles, blue squares, black diamonds, and even snowcat tours and more for really advanced folks.

The trick to our having a really good day is getting out of the house and on the road before 0630. Making the breakfast burritos the night before helps. :o)

Atop Monarch Mountain - heading down. Yes, Doug is quite quick. Snapped the shutter, tossed the camera into the air, moved into the picture, and then zipped back and caught the camera before it dropped.

We pass a fourteener on the way to Monarch. Gotta' visit in the summer time and hike that one. :o)
