The Sun Room Installation
A beautiful Colorado weekend in Sterling.
Laying out the sun room base was easy with a straight, level, and centered slab to work on.
George moved the front yard light to become a sun room light.
The roof gets assembled separately and then placed on the wall wall supports.
It's not too heavy, just bulky and unweildy - the three of us managed to move it into place easily.
Gotta' get from here to there.
Marge in the doorway.
Next steps: Wall panels and squaring up the frame.
Snickers wasn't put off by all the activity - he's still in charge.
At this point, the top-most panels and wall panels are in. The sloped wall panels went in next.
The kit goes together well - but there are a lot of repeated steps for each module.
Once the walls and windows were in, the sliding door was next. All of the vertical panels get a heavy rubber seal inserted at the edge.
George finishing up the roof by inserting a wind-stop in each joint - a piece of adhesive foam to stop drafts.
The view from the driveway.
The view from the front yard.
Marge's super fly trap.
There's a joke about hope, change, and a free lunch in there somewhere... but I said I wouldn't talk about politics today ;o)
